A Hanok interior would not feel complete without a typical Korean wooden cupboard. These cupboards are usually made from dark wood, appear sturdy, feature iron handles on the exterior, and contain multiple compartments inside.
You can design a custom cupboard for a Hanok house using teak wood, complemented by Jepara carvings on the exterior and sides as decorative accents. Next to the cupboard, there is often a wooden dressing table with a mirror framed by carved details.
The dressing table typically matches the cupboard in color to create visual harmony. This small to medium-sized table usually comes with a backless stool that can be neatly stored underneath when not in use. On the lower side of the table, small drawers are provided for storing makeup tools, hair accessories, and other personal items.
